Dalkia signs four-year agreement with the City of Västerås

Dalkia Energy & Building Services in Sweden has signed a four-year operating agreement with the City of Västerås. The agreement covers the operation of technical installations in schools and special housing and for Västerås city business premises. The agreement includes a staff overtaking of thirty persons.

The agreement with the City of Västerås will perform supervisory, management reaction to faults and maintenance of buildings and installations in facilities covering a total of 620 000 sqm. The agreement applies, in addition to all the city's business premises, both schools and special housing. Dalkia takes over Västerås city's staff in the operation and maintenance, about thirty persons.

- Dalkia responded well up to our expectations, and Västerås city sees this as a quality partnership to jointly develop our facilities. There is also an investment in our employees, through Dalkia, in skills and new challenges, says Hans Derenkow, Development and Business Support Director, Västerås city.

The mission is to improve long-term building operation in accordance with the local environment and quality and it is well in line with Dalkia's activities and to strengthen our position in the segment Municipality and Public Sector, says Helena Henriksson, Business Developer at Dalkia.

- The agreement is valid for four years, with possibility of renewal twice by one year at a time. We focus particularly on personnel needs for support in the transitional period and to optimize the operation without compromising on safety, quality and service.
