Dalkia wins major agreement for maintenance of the Øresund Bridge

The purpose of the agreement is to reduce maintenance costs without compromising the service's availability, safety or value. Øresundsbro Konsortiet searched for a partner with a wide experience within industrial maintenance and therefore able to optimize the maintenance.

- The design of the Øresund Bridge specifically requires high coordination of maintenance, and Dalkia with its wide experience of projects within the industrial sector and technical facility management, is well suited for the assignment. The Øresund Bridge is an important catalyst for the regional development and integration. It is important that the maintenance of the bridge works so that the region will continue to develop the way it has done during the ten years of the bridge's existence", says Bengt Hergart, Property Director at Øresundsbro Konsortiet.

The agreement means that Dalkia takes full responsibility for all maintenance of all technical systems throughout the long route with the exception of rail-specific systems. Dalkia will perform all preventive maintenance, inspections and corrective maintenance. Dalkia will also optimize and manage the maintenance activities.

Øresund Bridge is owned and operated by Øresundsbro Konsortiet, which in turn is owned equally by A/S Øresund and Svensk-Danska Broförbindelsen (SVEDAB AB).
