After more than 20 years inside Outokumpu's own factory area, Dalkia has moved its machine shop into new premises in the industrial area Källhagen in Avesta.
Through a partnership with the municipality's real estate company, a new efficient machine shop has been built for Dalkia's business. The new 2 400 square metre building is planned in detail, work environmentally as well as ergonomically and logistically. All the machines have in connection with the move been completely renovated and a new boring machine has been purchased. The inauguration of the new premises took place 21th September.
- Our own stand-alone machine shop means easier and better service to all our customers. We will strengthen our position and also secure jobs, says Ulrik Friberg, Business Operations Manager Dalkia.
Dalkia Service Avesta employs around hundred people. In the machine shop, all forms of machining take place, from easier tasks to the production of heavy components in various materials. The modernization that the move has meant has especially developed the workshop's capacity to perform complex technical work in difficult machining materials.
Other parts of Dalkia Service Avesta, such as management, the electrical department, automation and engineering, and mechanical and sheet metal department, moved to new premises in Koppardalen last fall.
