Dalkia has, commissioned by Göteborgs Hamn, manufactured and installed a fully equipped tower for fire fighting, a part of fire protection when loading and unloading of crude oil at Torshamnen in Gothenburg.
The tower is 21 meters high and weighs about 11 tons. It is equipped with a remote foam cannon at the top, and sprinklers on three levels. The tower needs to be high to be able to fight fires on large oil tankers, and to foam coat a large area. The tower is a development of the two former towers that Dalkia has built.
- We have previously built and installed two similar towers in 2005 for Göteborgs Hamn, which is an important customer to us. We are delighted by their thrust in us and we've also been asked to rebuild the previous two towers to the new design, says Lars Bergh, Site Manager, Dalkia.
